ORDINANCE 2005-06
ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF AN UNNAMED RIGHT OF WAY
SOUTH OF 16TH STREET EXTENSION
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia following a
properly advertised public hearing determined that it was in the best interest of and
consistent with the public health, safety and general welfare of its citizens to close and/or
vacate a portion of the unnamed right of way located between tax parcels 072-128-0000-
006,7,8,& 9, which lies~south of 16th Street Extension as shown on the attached map; and
NOW THEREFORE, be it ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski
that the above described portion of an unnamed right of way south of 16th Street
Extension, as shown on the map attached hereto and expressly made a part hereof as if set
forth herein, is hereby closed and/or vacated and that a certified copy of the Ordinance
vacating same be recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Pulaski
County, Virginia by the adjacent landowners and upon such recording the closing of said
portion shall be effective from that date and time forward. The applicant shall pay the
cost of publicizing the notice in accordance with § 15.2-2006 of the 1950 Code of
Virginia, as amended.
This ordinance is adopted and is effective upon adoption this 19th day of January, 2005
by recorded vote as follows:
