HomeMy WebLinkAbout2004-26~ i Ordinance 2004-26 Ordinance Authorizing the Transfer of 23.443 Acres Within the Pulaski Business Park to Gregory General Contracting (GGC) and Ground Vibration Consultants, Inc., (GVC, Inc.) or Their Designees ADOPTED: August 17, 2004 EFFECTIVE: August 17, 2004 ~.- `~ ~ T TOWN OF PULASKI, VIRGINIA ORDINANCE 2004-26 ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF 23.443 ACRES WITHIN THE PULASKI BUSINESS PARK TO GREGORY GENERAL CONTRACTING (GGC) AND GROUND VIBRATION CONSULTANTS, INC. (GVC, Inc.) OR THEIR DESIGNEES WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia deems it to be in the public interest and consistent with the general welfare of its citizens to convey real estate within the Town of Pulaski, Virginia Business Park in exchange for valuable improvements to said land to be conveyed and other improvements to the Pulaski Business Park by Gregory General Contracting (GGC) and Ground Vibration Consultants, Inc. (GVC, Inc.); and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia following a properly held public hearing, that 13.058 acres be transferred by deed to GGC and/or its designee in exchange for improvements to the Pulaski Business Park, some of which have been performed and others contracted for (which shall be reduced to writing); and that 9.385 acres be transferred by deed to GVC, Inc. and/or its designee in exchange for improvements to the Pulaski Business Park, some of which have been performed and others contracted for (which shall be reduced to writing); and the aforesaid parcels of real estate shall be deeded in accordance with a plat of survey dated August 17, 2004 prepared by Anderson & Associates, Inc., titled "Plat of Subdivision of Tax Map 73(1)66 Creating Lots 9, 9a, & 10 and Right of Way Dedication for Town of Pulaski" attached hereto and labeled Exhibit "A" and hereby made a part hereof as if expressly set forth herein. The Town Manager of the Town of Pulaski is hereby authorized to execute said deeds, containing the property described in Exhibit "A", on behalf of the Town of Pulaski. This ordinance is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 17`}' day of August, 2004, by recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, as follows: Bettye H. Steger -Aye John T.
