ORDINANCE 2004-10
AN ORDINANCE UPDATING THE TOWN BUILDING CODE TO MAKE SAME
CONSISTENT WITH THE CODE OF VIRGINIA
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia has considered
that it is in the best interest and general welfare of its citizens to update the Town
Building Code to make same consistent with the Code of Virginia now and for future
amendments;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of
Pulaski, Virginia that §18-1 of the Town Code of Ordinances is hereby amended in its
entirety to read as follows:
That the Uniform Statewide Building Code and all codes referenced
therein are hereby adopted by reference to §36-98 of the 1950 Code of
Virginia as amended; and
2. That future amendments to §36-98 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as
amended, shall be considered to be adopted by the Town Council in the
absence of action overruling such amendments and provided that such
overrulings are permitted by state law.
This ordinance is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 11`x' day of
May, 2004 and is adopted by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of
Pulaski, as follows:
