AN ORDINANCE AMENDING X78-184 OF THE TOWN OF PULASKI CODE OF
ORDINANCES INCREASING THE CELL PHONE TAX
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia has considered
the advisability of a cell phone tax increase mad has finther considered the public
necessity therefore as well as the general welfare of its citizens; and
V~VIHEREAS, the Town Council has determined that it is consistent with the public
good, necessity and general welfare that a cell phone tax increase be enacted; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of
Pulaski, Virginia that §78-184 of the Town of Pulaski Code of Ordinances is hereby
amended to increase the cell phone tax on the consumer's bill to 10.0 of the first $30.00
of the monthly gross charge; and
This ordinance is effective 120 days from the receipt of written notice by certified
mail from the Town of Pulaski, Virginia to the registered agent of the service provider
required to collect the tax and flue Ordinance is hereby adopted this 11'~ day of May,
2004 and is adopted by flue duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of
Pulaski, as follows:
