RESOLUTION 99-15
A Resolution for Re-Application to the Commonwealth
Of Virginia Community Development Block
Grant Funds for the Case Knife Road Project
BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to a public hearing, the Town of Pulaski wishes to
apply for $408,580 of Virginia Community Development Block Grant Funds for the Case
Knife Road Water Project; and
WHEREAS, the residents of the Town of Pulaski residing on Case Knife Road, as well
as County residents residing on Case Knife Road, are all experiencing severe water
supply and water quality problems, the Town of Pulaski has resolved to correct the
delivery and quality of water services to these residents so they can maintain a steady
supply of potable water to their households; and
WHEREAS, $408,580 will also be expended on this project, it is anticipated that
improved water service to 120 households will result from the implementation of this
project, of which approximately 73% will be low and moderate income persons'; and
FURTHERMORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Tom Combiths, Town Manager, is hereby
authorized to sign and submit the appropriate documents for submittal of this Virginia
Community Development Block Grant.
This resolution is effective upon its adoption, and is adopted this 6~' day of April, 1999,
by recorded vote of the Town Council as follows:
