RESOLUTION # 2000-3
HONORING
JO$N J. HAWLEY
ACTING TOWN MANAGER
WHEREAS, John J. Hawley, Town Engineer, has served the Town of Pulaski as Acting
Town Manager since August, 1999, following the resignation of Thomas M. Combiths;
and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Hawley acted in this capacity with dedication, integrity and
commitment, putting in long hours of hard work to carry out the numerous
responsibilities to which he was assigned; and,
WHEREAS, During his term as Acting Town Manager, Mr. Hawley has dealt capably
and very professionally with numerous complex issues and projects affecting past,
present and future Town residents; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Hawley is to be commended for his loyalty and perseverance in drive
and determination to get the job done as Town Manager while also wearing the hat of the
Town Engineer.
• NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
sitting in regular session on February 1, 2000, that the Town Council should and hereby
recognizes the significant and lasting contributions of Mr. i~awley to Town Council. Be it
further resolved that the citizens and staff of the Town of Pulaski also recogtrize Mr.
Hawley's valuable service and truly thank him for his dedication and loyalty.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by recorded vote of the Town
Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, on this 1st day of February, 2000 as follows:
