RESOLUTION 2000-22
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE SERVICES
WITH WILEY AND WILSON AND/OR SIMON AND ASSOCIATES
FOR SERVICES TO REMOVE FUEL TANKS AND PROVIDE RELATED SERVICES
AT THE SITE OF THE PROPOSED MAPLE SHADE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski is in receipt of a proposal from Wiley and Wilson, Architects,
Engineers, and Planners for future phase services on the proposed Maple Shade Project; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski desires to proceed with certain site preparation services,
specifically the removal of certain former fuel tanks said to be located at the Site; and
WHEREAS, the proposal includes a cost estimate of $19,000 to provide such services through a
subcontractor, Simon and Associates; and
WHEREAS, it is desired to proceed with this phase of site preparation.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Pulaski that the
Town Manager be and he hereby is authorized to negotiate services with Wiley and Wilson
and/or its subcontractor, Simon and Associates to achieve a fee and scope of work most
acceptable to the Town;
FURTHER, that the Town Manager be and he hereby is authorized to execute an agreement for
such service for a fee not to exceed $19,000 and in a form approved by the Town Attorney.
This Resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by duly recorded vote of the Town
Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia on this the 1~` day of August, 2000 as follows:
