RESOLUTION 2000-28
Regarding Budget Authority to Continue Police Vehicle Lease Program
WHEREAS, the Pulaski Town Council in December, 1999, received a report
recommending that Town Council approve a program of procuring police vehicles via
lease-purchase; and,
WHEREAS, funds subsequently were authorized to lease four vehicles as a Phase I
program with appropriations made for Fiscal 1999-2000 and Fiscal 2000-2001 with lease
obligation continuing through Fiscal 2003; and,
WHEREAS, the Police Department presently desires to proceed with a Phase II lease-
purchase for three vehicles at $17,039.29 per year for four years; and,
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2001 budget has sufficient funds for the first year of this
program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Pulaski Town Council that it desires
to proceed with Phase II of the lease-purchase program and hereby authorizes that funds
be obligated for the three subsequent fiscal years (Fisca12002, 2003, and 2004) for this
purpose.
This Resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted upon duly recorded vote of the
Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, on this, the 3rd day of October, 2000 as
follows:
