HomeMy WebLinkAbout2004-21~. • i RESOLUTION 2004-21 A RESOLUTION HONORING JAMES M. NEBLETT, JR. ~.. i• WHEREAS, James M. Neblett, Jr. has faithfully and honorably served the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as a member of the Town Council and as a representative of the Town on various intergovernmental boards since 1974; and WHEREAS, in his service to the Town Mr. Neblett has served an extraordinarytwenty-three and one-half years as a Town Councilman; and WHEREAS, within his term of service as a Councilman, Mr. Neblett has served as Vice-Mayor and on various Committees of Council including the Finance, Ordinance, and Safety committees as well as Chairman and member of the Public Operations and Utilities committees; and, WHEREAS, Mr. Neblett has also served as a member of long standing on the board of the Pepper's Feny Regional Wastewater Treatment Authority and has also served on the board of the Greater Pulaski Alliance since its inception; and, WHEREAS, in addition to his work on behalf of the Town, Mr. Neblett also contributed to the community as a loyal member and active leader in Christ Episcopal Church, and as a member of the Pulaski County School system serving as a teacher, principal, and administrator to educate and assist future generations of Town and County residents. NOW, THEREFORE be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, sitting in regular session this 6`h day of July 2004, that the Town Council should and does recognize the significant and lasting contributions of Mr. Neblett for his thirty years of public service to the citizens of the Town of Pulaski and for his contributions as an educator and leader to the entire community. This resolution is adopted by recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia this 6~' day of July 2004 as follows; Jeffrey S. Worrell -Aye Daniel Talbert, Jr. -Aye Bettye H.
