RESOLUTION 93-4
HONORING THE FREE CLINIC OF PULASKI COUNTY, INC.
WHEREAS, the Free Clinic of Pulaski County, Inc. was begun in 1983
by a local lawyer (Phil Sadler), a doctor (Jack Knarr) and two ministers
to provide some level of health care for the medically indigent people
of Pulaski County; and
WHEREAS, the Free Clinic provides quality primary medical treatment
to adults and children who are falling through the cracks in our health
care system, and cannot reasonably be expected to pay for such services;
and
WHEREAS, the Free Clinic serves as a medical screening and referral
source for the community; and
WHEREAS, the Free Clinic is staffed entirely by volunteers.
• NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Town Council of the Town of
Pulaski, Virginia, that the Town Council should and hereby commends the
efforts of the Free Clinic of Pulaski County, Inc., and extends its
deepest appreciation to the many volunteers that have contributed to
this worthwhile effort.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by
recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia,
sitting in regular session, on this 6th day of April, 1993 as follows:
