RESOLUTION 93-7
SUPPORTING PULASKI COMMUNITY HOSPITAL'S
APPLICATION FOR A CANCER TREATMENT AND
RADIATION CENTER
WHEREAS, Pulaski Community Hospital is applying for a Certificate
of Public Need to locate a Cancer Treatment and Radiation Center at
Pulaski Community Hospital; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski and the New River Valley has a need
for cancer treatment and radiation services that would be met by
Pulaski Community Hospital and its reputation of excellence in
health care; and
WHEREAS, in addition to these very important health care reasons, the
Cancer Center would provide additional employment opportunities for
our residents, improve our tax base and bolster the community's
• economic development efforts.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Town Council of the Town of
Pulaski, Virginia, that the Town Council should and hereby pledges
its support to Pulaski Community Hospital's application for a
Cancer Treatment and Radiation Center.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by recorded
vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, sitting
in regular session, on this 1st day of June, 1993 as follows:
