RESOLUTION - 93-11
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE RENOVATION OF THE PULASKI THEATER

WHEREAS, the Pulaski Theater was built in 1911 as a vaudeville house;
and
WHEREAS, The Pulaski Theater is a centerpiece in the historic
Commercial District and is a contributing structure to the National
Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register; and
WHEREAS, generations of Pulaski residents have enjoyed shows and
movies at the Pulaski Theater and the Town is hopeful that the
building can be restored so that it can be enjoyed by future
generations.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Town Council of the Town of
Pulaski, Virginia, that Town Council supports the renovation of the
Pulaski Theater and the Center on Rural Development grant application
for approximately $40,000 to repair the roof, plumbing and electrical
system at the Pulaski Theater.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by

recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia,
sitting in regular session, on this 6th day of July, 1993 as follows:
