RESOLUTION 94-2
HONORING FRANCES B. BURNETTE
WHEREAS, Frances B. Burnette, an employee of the Town for 16
years, has retired effective January 28, 1994; and
WHEREAS, Frances Burnette was hired as dispatcher in 1977 and
promoted to chief dispatcher in 1989; and
WHEREAS, Frances Burnette was responsible for training the other
dispatchers, and handled all radio communications for the Police
Department, including citizen complaints and 911 calls, even handling
a call for a hostage situation involving her police officer husband;
and
WHEREAS, Frances Burnette's control in deadly situations,
immense knowledge, and professionalism, will be sorely missed by all
of our "officers in blue".
NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town
of Pulaski, Virginia, sitting in regular session on February 1, 1994,
that the Town Council should and hereby commends Frances Burnette for
her 16 years of service and wishes her the very best in her
retirement.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by
recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia,
on this 1st day of February, 1994 as follows:
