• AUTHORIZING ROBERT COLLINS TO INSTALL
HANDICAP RAMP ON MONROE AVENUE
WHEREAS, Robert Collins has steps from Monroe Avenue to his residence at 625 Monroe
Avenue in the Town of Pulaski; and,
WHEREAS, Robert Collins desires to install a handicap ramp and has requested permission from
the Town to place a handicap ramp that will extend approximately 7 feet into the right-of-way and
be approximately 5 feet wide.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, sitting
in regular session on July 16, 1996, that
1. Robert Collins is granted permission to install a handicap ramp at 625 Monroe Avenue, in
accordance with plans approved by the Town Engineer; and,
2. This permission is revocable at any time by the Town and is subject to the proviso that the
Town will not be responsible for any loss or damage to said ramp by reason of the public use or
maintenance of the street and walkway; and, if the ramp is damaged by street or utility repair or
replacement by the Town, the cost of repair to the ramp will be on the property owner; and,
3. The Town Administration is authorized to advertise for a public hearing in which a similar
• permanent right or easement to use the street and walkway will be considered; but, the Town
Council is under no obligation to make such a permanent grant.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and adopted by duly recorded vote of the Town Council
of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, on this 16th day of July, 1996 as follows:
