WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski, Virginia expresses its deepest sympathies to the family of Alma
H. Holston; and,
WHEREAS, Alma H. Holston served on the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia from
1980 to 1984 and from 1988 to 1996; and,
WHEREAS, Mrs. Holston served on the Ordinance Committee, Human Resources Committce and
as Chairperson of the Public Operations Committee, as well as The Agency on Aging
representative, the Environmental Quality Board and was appointed to the V.M.L. Legislative
Committee; and,
WHEREAS, During her service,lVlrs. Holston has dealtcapably with numerous complex issues
and projects affecting past, present and firture Town residents; and,
•
WHEREAS, As a member of Pulaski Town Council, Mrs. Holston served all citizens of the Town
with fairness, honesty, kindness and respect.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia,
sitting in regular session on January 21, 1997, that the Town Council should and hereby recognizes
the significant and lasting contributions of 1VIrs. Holston to the citizens of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia, on this 21st day of January, 1997 as follows:
