HomeMy WebLinkAbout2006-23ry Ordinance 2006-23 Ordinance Rezoning Properties at the Intersection of Smith Lane and 17th Street, N.W. to R-2 Adopted: August 1, 2006 Effective: August 1, 2006 LJ y .7 ORDINANCE 2006-23 ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTIES AT THE INTERSECTION OF SMITH LANE AND 17T" STREET, N.W TO R-2 WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia has considered the best interest of its citizens and determined, after review of the Planning Commission's recommendations and after a public hearing with citizen input, that it is in the best interest of the community and consistent with the public necessity, convenience, general welfare, good zoning practices, and applicable federal legislation to permit the rezoning of property owned by Perry and Kathy King from R-3 (conditionally zoned with proffer) to R-2 Residential District; and NOW THEREFORE be it ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia sitting in regular session this 1St day of August 2006, that the property owned by Perry and Kathy King, identified as Tax Map Numbers 063-016-0000-0013, 0014, 0015, and 0016, as shown in Attachment A, affixed hereto and made expressly part of this ordinance, is hereby rezoned from R-3 (conditionally zoned with proffer) to R-2 Residential District. • FURTHER, that the rezoning of these parcels removes any proffers made by Perry and Kathy King for the use of the property for cluster housing and one two unit cluster, in accordance with the Zoning Regulations--Town of Pulaski, Virginia, Section 703.3 and the Code of Virginia, 1950 as amended, Section 15.2-2297(A). This ordinance is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 1St day of August 2006 by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council as follows: Jeffrey S. Worrell -Aye Lane R.
