Ordinance 2006-26 Ordinance Rezoning Property at the Intersection of Memorial Drive and Route 11 form R-1 to B-1 Adopted: September 5, 2006 Effective: September 5, 2006 ~, ORDINANCE 2006-26 • ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTY AT THE INTERSECTION OF MEMORIAL DRIVE AND ROUTE 11 FROM R-1 TO B-1 WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia has considered the best interest of its citizens and determined, after review of the Planning Commission's recommendations and a duly noticed public hearing with citizen input, that it is in the best interest of the community and consistent with the public necessity, convenience, general welfare, and good zoning practice to permit the rezoning of property owned by the First Pentecostal Holiness Church from R-1 Residential District to B-1 Local Business District. NOW THEREFORE, be it ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, sitting in regular session this 5th day of September 2006, that the property owned by the First Pentecostal Holiness Church at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Route 11, herein described as follows: "Beginning at a point on a VDOT RNV monument, said point being the southeast corner of the intersection of Memorial Drive and Lee Highway (US Route 11), thence along US Rt. 11 N 50° 46' 16" E, 290.91'; thence leaving RNV line S 39° 13' 44" E, 200.00'; thence N 50° 46' 16" E, 34.12'; thence S 39° 13' 44" E, 85.00', thence S 50° 46' 16" W, 378.45' to a point in the eastern RNV of Memorial Drive; thence along the eastern margin of Memorial Drive N 28° 36' 44" W, 112.31' to a VDOT RNV monument; thence S 82° 42' 44" E, 52.77' to a VDOT monument; then N 27° 36' 44" W, 12.75' to a VDOT • monument, thence N. 83° 30' 44" W, 52.52' to a VDOT monument in the eastern margin of Memorial Drive; thence N 28° 36' 44" W, 165.65' to the point of beginning and containing 2.13 acres. and shown in Attachment A, attached hereto and expressly made part of this ordinance, is hereby rezoned from R-1 Residential District to B-1 Local Business District. This ordinance is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 5th day of September 2006 by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as follows: Jeffrey S.
