• CLOSING OF AN UNDEVELOPED ALLEY
BETWEEN SOUTH WASHINGTON AVENUE AND LEXINGTON AVENUE
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Goodwin requested that the Town close a portion of an
undeveloped alley behind their property at 201 S. Washington Avenue: and
WHEREAS, the Town Manager submitted the proposal to all department heads for
comments; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council conducted a public hearing on September 5, 2006 on said
proposal after advertisement in accordance with law; and
WHEREAS, it appears the undeveloped alley under consideration has never been opened
and the Town Council finds that it is in the best interest of the Town and its citizens to close
and vacate the entire alley; and
NOW THERFORE, be it ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia
sitting in regular session this 19th day of September 2006, that an undeveloped alley located
between South Washington Avenue and Lexington Avenue, extending from 2"d Street, S.E. to
3~d Street, S.E., as shown in Attachment A, herein affixed to and expressly made a part of this
ordinance, is hereby abandoned, closed, and vacated, however, the Town of Pulaski
reserves, any and all utility or other easements which may exist in favor of the Town of
• Pulaski, its successors and assigns.
There are EXCLUDED from this abandonment and quitclaim and RESERVED by the Town,
any and all utility or other easements which may exist in favor of the Town its successors and
assigns.
This Ordinance is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted by the duly recorded vote of
the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, on this 19th day of September 2006 as
follows:
