HomeMy WebLinkAbout2008-01C • Ordinance 2008-01 Approving A Zoning Amendment For Horses Used For Therapeutic Programs In The R-4 Residential District ADOPTED: January 8, 2008 EFFECTIVE: January 8.2008 • ORDINANCE 2008-01 APPROVING A ZONING AMENDMENT FOR HORSES USED FOR THERAPEUTIC PROGRAMS IN THE R-4 RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT • WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia has considered it in the best interest of the public and determined it is consistent with the general welfare of the citizens to amend the zoning regulations for the R-4 Residential District by adding Section 405.3-11; and, WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia has considered the best interests of the community and its citizens and bases the following amendment to the Zoning Regulations and Zoning Ordinance upon the public necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practices; and, NOW, THEREFORE be it ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia sitting in regular session this 8th day of January 2008, that Section 405.3 of the Zoning Regulations pertaining to the R-4 Residential District Special Exceptions be amended by the addition of the following section: Section 405.3-11 Keeping and boarding of horses by therapeutic schools for minors, residential and non-residential, for use in therapeutic programs. This ordinance is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 8th day of January 2008 by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Virginia as follows: Jeffrey S.
