HomeMy WebLinkAbout95-01ORDINANCE N0. 95-1 • • APPROVING A REZONING OF 4.03 ACRES FROM M-1 TO B-2 ON BOB WHITE BOULEVARD ADOPTED: March 7, 1995 EFFECTIVE: March 7, 1995 • • ORDINANCE NO.9b-1 ORDINANCE APPROVING A REZONING OF 4.03 ACRES FROM M-1 TO B-2 ON BOB WHITE BOUI~VARD WI-IEREAS, Robert A. and Beverly W. Hudson of Hudson Chevrolet Corporation submitted a request to rezone 4.03 acres from M-1 (Limited Industrial) to B-2 (General Business). The subject property is located south of Hudson Chevrolet on Bob White Boulevard; and WHEREAS, the subject property is identified as Tax Map No. 072-89-40; and WHEREAS, the 4.03 parcel is currently zoned M-1 and the sale of automobiles is not permitted without obtaining a conditional use; and WHEREAS, since the existing Hudson Chevrolet property is zoned B-2, they requested that the adjacent 4.03 acre parcel be rezoned B-2. The sale of automobiles in the B-2 zoning district is a permitted use; and WHEREAS, after advertisement required by law, the Planning Commission and Town Council conducted public hearings on February 6 and February 21, respectively, wherein the comments and concerns of the public were heard; and WHEREAS, following the public hearing, the Planning Commission recommended approval of the rezoning. • BE IT ORDAINED, by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, sitting in regular session on March 7, 1995, that the application of Robert A. and Beverly W. Hudson of Hudson Chevrolet Corporation submitted a request to rezone 4.03 acres from M-1 (Limited Industrial) to B-2 (General Business) on Bob White Boulevard as set forth in the application submitted to the Town is hereby approved. The property is subject to any other restrictions imposed by the B-2 zoning district and any other applicable laws and regulations. The subject property is identified as Tax Map No. 072-89-40. • s a3~ ORDINANCE N0.95-2 • ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE FOR NEW AND USED CAR AND LIGHT TRUCK SALES, SERVICE AND REPAIR ON BOB WHITE BOULEVARD 400 FEET SOUTH OF THE INTERSECTION OF BOB WHITE BOULEVARD AND WARDENS SPRINGS ROAD WHEREAS, W. Pat Kirkland, agent for Bill C. and Joan P. Raykes, submitted a request for a conditional use permit to allow new and used car and light truck sales, service and repair, including body and fender repair, but not auto salvage or junk. The subject. property is located on Bob White Boulevard approximately 400 feet south of the intersection of Bob White Boulevard and Warden Springs Road; and WHEREAS, the subject property is zoned M-1 (Limited Industrial) and is identified as Tax Map No. 073-4-108; and WHEREAS, in the M-1 district, the proposed use is permitted as a conditional use; and WHEREAS, after advertisement as required by law, the Planning Commission and Town Council conducted public hearings on February 6, 1995 and March 21, 1995, respectively , wherein the comments and concerns of the public were heard; and WHEREAS, at its March 13, 1995 meeting, the Planning Commission recommended approval of the conditional use with a condition that an 8-foot solid wooden fence be erected along the • boundary of the residential district. NOW THEREFORE, be it ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, sitting in regular session on March 21, 1995, that the application of as set forth in the application submitted to the Town is hereby approved with the condition that an 8-foot solid wooden fence be erected along the boundary of the residential district. This use is subject to any other restrictions imposed by the M-1 zoning district and any other applicable laws and regulations. This ordinance is effective upon adoption and is adopted by recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, on this 21st day of March 1995 as follows: John Johnston Aye John W.
