TOWN OF PULASKI, VIRGINIA
Ordinance Rezoning E. Ray Lemon's property, 1730 Lee Highway (Tax Map
No.: 072-140-0000-047B), located at the corner of Lee Highway and
Oakhurst Avenue in the Town of Pulaski, from R-2 (Residential) to R-0
(Residential-Office).
WHEREAS, after notice as required by law, the Tawn Council and the Town
Planning Commission held a joint public hearing on February 18, 1992 on a
request by E. Ray Lemon to rezone 1730 Lee Highway, located at the corner
of Lee Highway and Oakhurst Avenue from R-2 (Residential} to B-2 (General
Business); and
WHEREAS, following the public hearing, at its meeting of March 9, 1992,
the Planning Commission formally recommended to the Town Council that Mr.
Lemon's property (Tax Map No. 072-140-0000-047B} be rezoned from R-2
(Residential) to R-0 (Residential-Office); and
WHEREAS, after due consideration of the information before it as
evaluated by appropriate zoning standards, the Town Council finds that it
is reasonable and suitable to rezone the property in question from R-2
(Residential) to R-0 (Residential-Office); and
WHEREAS, the Town Council finds that the recommendation of the Planning
Commission promotes the health, safety and general welfare of the general
public and accomplishes the purposes set forth in the Code of Virginia,
particularly Section 15.1-427 and Section 15.1-489, and promotes and is
consistent with the other provisions of the Town's land use plans,
ordinances and regulations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the COUNCIL of the TOWN OF PULASKI,
VIRGINIA, sitting in regular session on March 17, 1992, that:
Section 1. The Lemon property listed as Tax I.D. Lot No. 072-140-0000-
047B be, and the same hereby is, rezoned from R-2 (Residential) to R-O
(Residential-Office).
Section 2. The Town Zoning Administrator is directed to mark this change
and the effective date on the Master Zoning Map for the Town of Pulaski
and the said map is hereby amended to incorporate this change.

.Section 3. This ordinance is effective upon adoption and is adopted by
recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia on
this 17th day of March, 1992, as follows:
