• ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE
FOR THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE
TO CONDUCT FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES AT
53 EAST MAIN STREET
WHEREAS, Pulaski County Fraternal Order of Police #40 submitted an application for a
conditional use permit to conduct bingo and other fundraising activities at 53 East Main Street;
and
WHEREAS, the subject property is zoned B-3 (Central Business District) and is identified as
Tax Map No. 072-051-032-042 and 072-051-032-044; and
WHEREAS, in the B-3 District, the proposed activity as adjudged as requiring a conditional use
permit; and
WHEREAS, after advertisement as required by law, the Planning Commission and Town
Council conducted public hearings on March 23, 1998 and April 14, 1998, respectively, wherein
the comments and concerns of the public were heard; and
WHEREAS, at its March 23, 1998 meeting, the Planning Commission recommended approval of
the conditional use;
• NOW, THEREFORE, be it ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia,
sitting in special session on April 14, 1998, that the application of Pulaski County Fraternal
Order of Police #40 for a conditional use permit to conduct bingo and other fundraising activities
at 53 East Main Street, as set forth in the application submitted to the Town, is hereby approved.
This use is subject to any other restrictions imposed by the B-3 zoning district and any other
applicable laws and regulations.
This ordinance is effective upon adoption and is adopted by recorded vote of the Town Council
of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia on this 14`~ day of April, 1998 as follows:

that the foregoing Ordinance No. 98-6, approving a conditional use for the Fraternal order
of Police to conduct fundraising activities at 53 E. Main St. is a true and correct copy of
the Ordinance set out and adopted by the recorded vote of the Town Council on April 14,
1998.
