HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000-06• ORDINANCE 2000-06 APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE AT 800 SOUTH WASHINGTON AVENUE TO ALLOW CONSTRUCTION OF A FINISHED WATER BOOSTER PUMP STATION • ADOPTED: May 16, 2000 EFFECTIVE: May 16, 2000 • 33 ORDINANCE 2000-06 • ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE AT 800 SOUTH WASHINGTON AVENUE TO ALLOW CONSTRUCTION OF A FINISHED WATER BOOSTER PUMP STATION WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski requested a conditional use to construct a finished water booster pump station on South Washington Avenue; and WHEREAS, the subject property is located at 800 South Washington Avenue and identified as "unimproved right-of-way"; and WHEREAS, in the R-2 Residential District, the proposed use requires a conditional use; and WHEREAS, after advertisement as required by law, the Planning Commission and Town Council conducted public hearings on April 10, 2000 and May 2, 2000 respectively, wherein the comments and concerns of the public were heard; and WHEREAS, following its public hearing, the Planning Commission recommended approval of the conditional use upon the condition that the pump station conform with the elevated drawing of the pump station as submitted by the Engineering Department and shown in Appendix A of this ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE be it ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, • sitting in regular session on May 16, 2000, that the application of the Town of Pulaski for a conditional use to construct a finished water booster pump station at 800 South Washington Avenue is hereby approved on the condition that the station is constructed according to the elevated drawing of the pump station as submitted by the Engineering Department in Appendix A of this ordinance. This Ordinance is effective upon adoption and is adopted by recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, on this 16~' day of May, 2000 as follows: James M. Neblett Aye. Lane R.
