ORDINANCE PERMITTING A FAMII.Y DAY HOMEJDAY CARE CENTER AS A
CONDITIONAL USE AT 501 HENRY AVENUE
WHEREAS, Jean Reeder, owner, submitted an application for a conditional use application to
permit a family day home/day Gaze center at 501 Henry Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the subject property is zoned R-2 (Residential District) and is identified as Tax Map
No. 072-0032-000E-029 as shown in Attachment A; and
WHEREAS, in an R-2 zoning district, the proposed use is permitted as a conditional use; and
WHEREAS, after advertisement required by law the Planning Commission and Town Council
conducted a joint public hearing on May 21, 2001, where the comments and concerns of the
public were heard; and
WHEREAS, following the public hearing, the Planning Commission recommended approval of
the conditional use.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia,
sitting in a regular session that the application of Jean Reeder to locate a family day home/day
care center at 501 Henry Avenue (Tax Map No. 072-0032-000E-029} as set forth in the
application to the Town is hereby approved as a conditional use, with the following conditions to
maintain compatibility with the R-2 zone:
1. That the owner shall comply with the building code and fire regulations of the Town of Pulaski.
2. That the owner shall comply with all statutes, ordinances, rules and regulations applicable to
the operation of day care in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
This use is subject to any other restrictions imposed by the R-2 zone or any other applicable laws
and regulations.

This ordinance is effective upon adoption and is adopted by recorded vote by the Town Council
of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia on the 5~` day of June 2001, as follows:
