ORDINANCE FOR THE APPROVAL OF
EXECUTION OF THE ATTACHED DEED
WHEREAS, pursuant to notice given, the Town of PULASKI held a Public Hearing
on October 2"d , 2001, to receive public comment on the proposed exchange of approximately (~) five
acres of property between Virginia's First Regional Industrial Facility Authority and the New River
Valley Airport Commission.
WHEREAS, there being no public comment, the hearing closed.
WHEREAS, the Town Council is a member of the New River Valley Airport
Commission and owners of a parcel of land located in Dublin, Virginia and further described as:
BEGINNING at a point on the southern right-of--way of U. S. Route 100,
a boundary with the northern right-of--way of Laboratory Street; thence
• running with the southern right-of--way of State Route 100 N 20 degrees
16' 32" E 65.60 feet to a point in the lands of New River Valley Airport
Commission; thence a new line through the New River Valley Airport
Commission property S 80degrees 37'44" E, 3~9.13 feet to a set rod;
thence a curve having a Delta of 18 degree 47 minutes 47 seconds,
a Radius of 735 feet, a Tangent of 121.65 feet, a Chord of 240.04 feet,
a bearing of N 77degrees 08'44" E and a length of 241.12 feet to a set
rod; thence continuing N 67 degrees 44'51" E 162.98 feet to a set rod;
thence a curve having a Delta of 20 degrees 43 minutes 32 seconds
Radius of 864.99 feet, a tangent of 1 X8.17 feet, a Chord of 311.19 feet,
a bearing of N 78 degrees 06' 37" E 312.89 feet to a set rod; thence S
53 degrees 29'10" W 965.59 feet to a set rod; thence N 36 degrees
30'50" W 488.04 feet to the point of BEGINNING.
WHEREAS, the exchange ofthe property is to facilitate an access road into the new
Commerce Park located near the airport; and the Airport Commission and Virginia's First Regional
Industrial Facility Authority desires to exchange five acres.
WHEREAS, the Town Council has determined that a public need exists for the
• exchange of said property for the construction of an access road; and

WHEREAS, the Town Council desires to transfer to Virginia's First Regional
Industrial Facility Authority the above described property for the purpose of a new road in the New
Commerce Park; and
WHEREAS, Virginia's First Regional Industrial Facility Authority has agreed to
transfer to the New River Valley Airport Commission members an equal five (5) acre tract of land
located in the New Commerce Pazk azea, such property is further described in the above cited deed.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of
PULASKI, Virginia, sitting in regular session on November 6~', 2001, that

VIRGINIA, as Grantors; and VIRGINIA'S FIRST REGIONAL INDUSTRIAL FACILITY
AUTHORITY, Grantee.
This Ordinance is effective upon adoption and is adopted by the duly recorded vote

of the Town Council of the Town of PULASKI, Virginia, on this 6~' day of November 2001, as
follows:
