Town Manager Noland read a letter from the Bureau of Census

in downtown Pulaski; that the Council had recently adopted a

~aa.s discussed at length by Council and on motion of Glen K. Aust,
seconded by T. J. McCarthy, and carried unanimously, it was
RESOLVED that such a committee be appointed with
power to i mrestigate proper procedure to fol.7_ow to secure State
approved authority status.
Mr. Powers a7.so brought to the attention of Council
that some of the merchants felt. it unfair to them to allow persons
to come into town and put uo produce stands for the duration of
the season. Mr. Powers was advised that the matter would be
investigated and placed on the agenda for the next regular meeting.
On motion of Glen K. Aust, seconded bar J. R. Martin,
and carried on the following recorded vote, the following resolution

following Ordinance, duly passed by the Council and unproved
by the Mayor on the 17th day of May, 1.960, which bide ar.e to be

of said Town in open session, to be held in the Council_ chamber

It was reported by NTr. Noland, Secretary of the Planning
Commission, that the Commission had held two public hearings on May
16th, one with reference to a. proposal to add a section to Article 9
PLANMNG COMM. of the 7.,oning Ordinance, to alloTa trailers in residential d~ stricts ;

located at tt13 Jackson Street, S. ~'., belonging to John R. Saunders, i

the safety of the public. On motion of ~1~. A. Larson, seconded by
J. R. Ni:artin, and carried unanimously, it was
RESOI:VF'D, that the Town Manager proceed to enforce the
ordinance pertai.ni.ng to unsafe and dilap~.dated houses, a.s was adorted
by Council on July 28.
