Town Manager Noland pointed out that as is usual in towns
which build Sewage Treatment plants there arises the problem
of temporary heavy flows of sewage in the treatment plant which
follows heavy rain fall. Such temporary flows add needless
costs to the treatment operation procedure and subject the
equipment and system to possible damage.
In anticipation of this upcoming situation the Town Code
in Section 20-1t8 has for a number of years, prohibited the connect-
,
ing of down spouts to house sewers and it was the recommendation of
the Manager that steps be taken to enforce the existing Code
section.
