'~ necessary to defend the Town and the two police officers involved in the suit. ~ On motion of W. M. Farmer, seconded by I. R. Garper, it was unanimously RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Counci]snan Larson make investigat~jon ~. of Mr. T. B. Noland!s references and if such references era favorab~ie T.B. NOLAND that they be authorized to make Mr. Noland an offer as Town Manager' { I at a salary of $7,500 and his moving expenses from Franklin, Virgins..
