Council Minutes Pulaski, Va., April 1 ~ 1951
The regular semi-monthly meeting of .the To
Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia was held in the M icipal'
Building at 4;00 p.m ., April 17, 1951.

On motion duly made by J. R. Martin, seconded

CALFEEIPARKNTS RESCLVED, that there be a charge, of 20.00
for each of the advertisements on the wood fence adjacent
to the scoreboard,, for the current season, such funds to
be credited to the General Fund revenue of the Town.

checked with Ralph Haney, employee of the Town Recreation
Oommission, was presented, and was discussed at length.
On motion duly made by G. R. Steger, seconded
by I. R. Carper, it was unanimously ,
RESOLVED, that the claim of Larry Morris for
$2:6.00 for reimbursement of funds claimed to have been lost
be disallowed.
AMENDMENT
LICENSE TAX On motion duly made by W. D. Macgill, Jr .,
ORDINANCE seconded by G. R.' Saeger, and carried by a unanimous vote,
the following ordinance was adopted;
BE IT ORDAINED that the License Tax Ordinance
adopted March 13, 1951, Chapter 1, License Tax Rate, section
51, Public IItilities, paragraph covering motor vehicle
carriers be amended to provide a license tax of b-Fifth
(1/5~) cent per mile for each mile operated within tha
Town for any vehicle weighing five-thousand pounda.or
less, instead of one -fourth (1~4¢) cent per mile, this
rate being in accordance with the Code of Virginia.

DIAGONAL The matter of diagonal parking in front of the

was reported that the Virginia Department of Highways had
established a policy concerning approving maintenance funds
on primary roads where diagonal parking was permitted. It
was decided that further information concerning this should
be obtained before any action taken.
