R. Hunley for frame storehouse on runners to be locatdisl. on south side of i~Test Main Street (S®e Minutes P. 1834 was dot now needed inasmuch as applicant was occupying a store bui~{ding on Randolph Avenue. l[r. Hubert F. Groseclose, appeared before the C in regard to the matter of report of the Town Attorney and i~~ie Chief of Police concerning the Malone property. C. Harman, Mrs. Hubert F. Groseclose, Mr. J. C. Harman, ~. A. Larson, Mrs. H.i~. Hvff, Mr. A. D. Seagle, ldr. Hensel Eckman, Mrs. Ann Jordan, Mrs. Hensel Eckman. Mr. H. P. White, seconded by off. D. Maegill, Jr., it was unanimouslT RESOLVED, that the action of the Council September 4, 1951 (S:ee Minutes g. 1879), accepting the report of the Town Attorney and the Chief of Police, with reference to the premises at No. 5 Seventh Street, N.E. be rescinded, and. that the investigation be continued. There appeared the following residents of Crestline Drive: Rt~saell J. 3laydoa, E. T. Cregger, A. ~, Cruff, and Fred M. Fink, who requested that the Town take steps to improve this,r®adsay, particularly in view of the fact that some of the material used for the road bed contained a large number of nails, which were damaging the tires. The° Town Manager stated that the road had been covered with er~tshed stone, but a good portion of this had washed away in recent rains, and it was intended to replace it in the near future. There was some discussion concerning the matter in which certain of the residents stated that, in their opinion, the only adequate way to provide_a road was to completely rebuild the roadbed and cover with stone and asphalt. At this point, Councilmen T. F. Wirt and ~. F. white retired from the meeting, but there remained a quorum. Crowell, it was unanimouslg Property Owners RESOLVID, that the Town Manager be directed & church delegate to meet to write the residents on the north side of Fourth 3'treet, bettyeen Washington and Jefferson Avenues, and request that they appear before the Council to disease the matter of a proposed sidewalk and curb and gq,tter, AD JOURNID and that the Pre~ebgterian Church be requested to ha~re~ an official representative at the meeting to act in behalf of the church.
