Gentlemen:
1
It is after the most careful consideration that ~~ am
tendering my resignation as Town Manager of Pulaski to aecept~
position of County Manager of Henrico County, Richmond,Virgini.
This will offer not only a big advancement at present, but
considerable future possibilities. My personal desire at the
moment is to stay here, but I cannot overlook what appears to ~e
for my best interest and welfare.
It was but a few short months since I cam here.
During that time, I have learned to love the community and thee:
associations, as if it had been many years. Any success I have
made in---improving the community has been entirely as a result ~f
the spl'sndid cooperation received from the Council, the emplo~fbes,
and the public as a whol®. I can say without exception we hav~b
the finest group of people to work with that can be found anyv~~iere.
Our employees are both capable and efficient.
I hope that we can reach a satisfactory arrangen~snt
as to the time of terminating duties here. At present, it ap fears
that I can be available until the last of March, provided it ~
satisfactory to spend a portion of the time in Richmond, part~ularl~
for the remainder of this month. In this manner, it will giv Myou
ample time to make a careful selection of a successor.
