MEETING This meeting was held in lieu of the meeting CHANGED schedul®d to be held December 15, 195Q as psr signed agreement filed in the Town f ites. PRESENT There were present: Mayor $. R. Imboden, presiding Councilmen: I. R. Carper, 0. 0. Crowell, J. C. Crumbley, Jr., C.V.~'ackson, J.L.Kesling, J.R.Martin,N'.F.N'hite. Absent : F. 1~'. Marshall Also present: Town Manager: Julian P'. Hirst Clerk Pro-Tempo: Florence N". Jackson Town Treasurer: Lot tie R. Runion Visitors: Edwin Curtis Parks MINUTES The Minutes of the regular meeting held December 2, 1952 were read and approved. On motion duly made by I. R. Carper, s8conded by lid. F. Mite, it was unanimously MOTOR VEH~ RES(}LVED, that motor vehicle licenses for the LIC Vol.Firem®n year 1952-53 be issued to volunteer firemen at no charge, in accordance with past policy. On motion duly made by I. R. Carper, seconded by C. V. Jackson, it was unanimously APPLICATION RESOLVED, that the application for certificate CERT.PUB.CON. & NEC. of convenience and necessity be Edwin Curtis Parks, Jr. -Parks be referred to the Chief of Police and th® Town Manager for consideration with power to act. On motion duly made by 1~f. F. t~hit®, seconded by 0. 0. Crowell, it was unanimously SEER EXTENSION RESOLVED, that the Town proceed with sewer -Lafayette Ave. Ap Top. ®xt®nsion on Lafayette Avenue and that an appropriation of Thre® Hundred ($300.00) Dollars be made from the General Funds for this wcr k. NT.INST.MUN. The Town Attorney, reporting briefly on the LAVA 0 FF. CONVENTION National Institute of Municipal Law Officers held -Report Town Atty November 20 - December 3rd at Louisville, Kentucky, stated h® intended to furnish Council with a detail®d report of sane. Martin, seconded by I.R.rper, it was unanimously 11~"ILEY 8c RESOLVED, that the firm of Kiley & ~Ililson, Consulting VfPILSON FOR Engineers, Lynchburg, Virginia, be engaged for preliminary sewage SERA, GE - - SURVEY survey report in accordance with the terms of their proposal contained in their letter dated December 3, 1952, and that a ~~ supplemental appropriation of Two Hundred And Fifty 0250.00).;; Dollars be made for this report. 3 ANNEXATI011T It was decided that consideration of annexation be deferred until the first of the coming year. PULASKI The Town Manager advised of the request. of the Pulaski' HOSPITAL TNC.
