Imboden, presiding "~ Councilmen: I.R.Carper, O.O.Crowell, C.V,Jaekson, J.L.Kesling, F.1~'.Marshall, J.R.Martin,R.~.Mhite. A-bsent: J.C. Crumbley, Jr. Also present: Town Manager: Julisa F. Hirst Clerk:. Louis® D. Logan Town Attorney: Garnett S. Moore Visitors; Dr. R. F. Thornhill,.Mr. Kenneth Rilliam~j, Business Manager, Pulaski Hospital, Inc.! PULASKI HOSPITAL The Mayor stated the meeting was called to hear the r~quest INC. ~?E~tTEST FOR of the Pulaski Hospital, Inc. for purchase of Town-owned land l~i.ng LAND .;, south and west of the hospital property. PRESENT Dr. R. F. Tho~hill stated the hospital desired to pu~chase 1 the land west or in the rear of the hospital to relieve the acue parking problem and the hospital tentatively p3anned, although concrete plans were available, to make an addition to the build~g on the south side. a' hospital in r®lation to surrounding property were distributed tc Council and considerably discussed. Future matters bearing on esent decision were considered, such as extension of Henry Avenue, po~l~ibl• expansion of the present filter plant, etc. i Maps showing location of the property desired by the A I ~i ~. Mr. W. ~'. V~hite made the following motion which was s~~eonded "t by a. 0. Crowell: The Town sell to the Pulaski Hospital, Inc. ~~nd requested by them on the south side of the hospital and in the jsar of the hospital property onRando lph Avenue, consisting of 204 x 00 feet at a price to be determined, provided arrangements were ma for means of ingress and egress to houses in the rear of the hospit~I1 off of 10th Street, N.1~. 1~hereupon, the following amendment motion was made by ~3 J. R. Martin, seconded by I. R. Carper: SALE OF That the Council shall vote on sale of the land lyisg~i LAND SOUTH ~; OF ia~nediately south of the hospital proper next to the filter plat HOSPITAL NEXT TO at the present, and defer consideration of sale of the land in ~e FILTER PLANT rear of the hospital until the second regalar meeting in Januar I, a recorded vote taken as follows: ~T. Jackson, it was unanimouslg RESOLVED, that the Toxn sell to the Pulaski Hospital, Ina. that strip of land lying imneediately south of the hospital property, consisting of acreage, as sketehed 'and sho~na on a plan prepared by -E. A. Millirons, Registered Survegor, and that the "Mayor shall appoint appraisers for recommendation to the Council of a sale price for the lead. APPRAISERS The Mayor appointed ~[essrs. Glenn C.
