Council minutes Pulaski, Va., February 6, 1945
The Council of the Town of Pulaski met in regular
session tonight at 7:30 at the i~ayor~s office.

CHURCH OF The Church of God was granted a permit for cinder

investigate the matter of a curb market in the Town of Pulaski
was continued.

PUF~LIC County relative to the continuation of the Pulaski County
LIBhaRY
Library in the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1945, was
read before the Council, I~r. IPJysor stating that the present
arrangement whereby the Library is operated in conjunction
with the City of Radford and Montgomery County had not been
a satisfactory one, and that the separation had been
agreed upon effective February 1, 1945.- He stated that
the ~+ibrary under its present budget would be able to
operate until July lst, after which time it would be
necessary for a minimum of X5,000.00 to be appropriated jointly
by the County and Town of Pulaski, and requested that the
Town assume its usual one-third of this sum after July lst,
making X1666.67 per annum to be appropriated by the
Town instead of X1333.33, as at present. t~fter discussion,
on motion of H. H. lmboden, seconded by G. C. Hall and
unanimously passed, the Council agreed to appropriate this

amount, beginning July 1st, in order to keep the Library operating
as a Pulaski County Unit, separate from the City of Radford
and County of Montgomery, with the understanding that
the County of Pulaski would likewise increase their
appropriation to X3333.33 instead of X2666.67, as at present.

FtEVISIOLV The question of revision of the ordinances was

~s Mayor reported that he had had a conversation with repre-
sentatives of the League of Virginia municipalities, who
advised him that when this was undertaken, they would be
in position to furnish some advice and assistance in
ceon~ection with it, and the mayor was authorized to get in
touch with the League and ascertain to what extent and in
what way they would be able to assist in this undertaking.
In this connection, the Ordinance committee was instrueted
to work. wi th the mayor, looking to~rard the revision of
• the ordinances.

Watson avenues, be opened. On motion of T. F. 6'rirt, seconc#ed
by 0. P. Jordan, Jr., this matter wus referred to the Strut
Committee for investigation.

corcimercial flying was discussed, with no action taken.
