in the matter of a petition presented at the Hugust

street, questing the installation of curb and gutter. On
recoiiiraendation of the street coin. bittee, to wYrich the matter was
ref erred, with pov~er to act, and on motion duly made seconded
ana unanimously p4ssed, the Council declined the installation
of curb and gutter at this tike, anc~ authorized that tre shou~ders
of the street on the east and west side be repaired and put in
good condition.

BE .C'r Rkt~Ot~VED by the Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia, that a tax of x:1.60 be levied on each ~plUU.UU assessed
value on all property, real and tangible personal for the
year 1945, for the general purposes o~ the Town, including
the pay of its officers, the working -;nd keeping ire repair of its
streets, roads and bridges, and to p~x~• the interest on its
public debt, and to provide a sinking fund for the rede~~ption
of the s~:me, and in aciuition thereto -=~ poll tax of ~v1.00 is ~~
hereby levied on eaeh:~mai~ citizen of the Town over 21 years off'
age, to be used in keeping its streets, roads and bridges in
repair.
The Council ordered that & 5% penalty be added on all unpaid
1945 taxes as of Februar~.~ 1, 1946, and 6~ interest from August.
