F. ~yysor, Treasurer of` Pulaski County, representing the County Board of Supervisors, that the appropriation for the Pulaski County free Library, on the part of the town, be increased for the fiscal year 1946 -•1947, from ~1~66.67 to ~~,000.UO, the re~iaining twp-thirds (or ~p~,000.00) expense of the library being included in the County budget for the fiscal year 1946 - 1047. On motion C of F'. ~. Seagle, seconded by 0. P. Jordan, Jr., and unanimously passed, this additional appropriation was authorized. On motion of ".~'. (1) It is agreed that the said party of the second part shall have the right to the use of all necessary grounds within said park area, which includes grandstands, bleachers, ticket offices, consession stands and other and other other necessary and availaboe facilities, together with perking space owned and controlled by the Torn in connection with said park. (2) The said party of the first part agrees to erect two covered dugouts adequate for opposing teams, but the same may be constructea of wood and placed on the surface of the ground anti of` such height to accommodate the players and not obstruct the view of the spectators, and also further agrees to make all necessary repairs to bleachers in order to acco~tnodate the spectators attending the games. (6) The said party of the secorx~ part further agrees to furnish the necessary transformers for electric current used by the party of the seco~ri part without expense to the party of the first part, however, the party of the first pa~~ is to bear the expense of any re-wiring or repairing of the present lighting system, including any necessary relocation.;; of lights or poles for night baseball. (9) the said party of the second part agrees at its expense to keep the grounds and facilities in first class condition, including the mowing of the grass in the entire enclosed portion of said park v~hich lies East of the grand- stand and bleachers, and shall include the embankments on the East side of the field, and agrees further to be re- sponsible for repairing any damage to the grounds or facilities arising from any. cause during its use of the park, provided the same is not caused by the over-flowage or stoppage of the drain pipe installed by the party of the first part underneath the park area, in vrhich such event the said party of the first part shall repair the damage so done. The said part~y~of the, second part further agrees thpt in the use of` the park it will protect the sod on the field and not damage the same except that it shall have the right to remove the same in the customary manner of a grass infield for baseball. The said party of the second part is further extended the right and privilege to lay off` a baseball diamond, instal. bases and erect a pitchers mound. `1'he erection of such mound, the laying off of the field and the keeping of the same in proper condition shall be the sole and absolute responsibility of the party of the second part. i~ LJ (lu) The party of the first part agrees to furnish necessary police protection for the maintenance of law and order at all games played at the park, but any police officers of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia shall be admitted to the games without charge.
