regular session at 7:30 o~clock P. ~., July 2, 1946, at the
kayor ~ s office.
There were present: Mayor A. T.Eskridge, presiding;
Louie R. Runion, clerk; A. iN. Gatewood, director of public
works; Roby K. Sutherland, attorney; B.C.Taylor, treasurer;
L. S. Boothe, chief of police, and Councilmen: 0. P. Jordan,
Jr., T. F. Ih'irt, Howard R. Imboden, W. F. White, F. A.Seagle,
I~. R. Carper, W. D. Aust and G. C. Hall. absent: None.
The minutes of the regular meeting held on June 4th
and special meetings of June 22nd and June 24th were read
and approved.
The regular bills and payrolls for the month of June
were read, approved and ordered paid. Said bills are liven
at the conclusion of these minutes.
The police repo~~ ~fot the month of June was submitted
and read.
A report signed by A. ~i. Whaley, sanitation officer,
on inspections of restaurants within the town for the month
of June was read and filed.
The following building pernits, coming within the
requirements of the ordinance, were granted - subject to
governmental regulations: R. G. Carson for 1~-story brick
dwelling on the north side of 6th street N. between Washington
and Madison avenues, to cost X10,000.00; Fred A. Jackson for
one-story frame dwelling on the north side of 5th street, S. E.
between Floyd and Peirce avenues, to cost X4,000.00; C. G. Byrd
for one-story frame dwelling on the north side of Clark Street,

Pulaski to cost X2300.00 each; David C. Beamer for one-story
