of theCouncil was nominated by A. itii. Bushong and seconded
by T. L. James. Whereupon, 1~r. rskridge retired and
Counci;man F. ~. Seagle was elected temporary chairman.
On the following recorded vote: Ayes: A. ~~1. Bushong,
T. L. James, G. C. Hall, F. t~. Seagle, 0. P. Jordan. Noes:
J. E. Bunts, .dir. Eskridge was elected to fill the un-
expired term.
~Qyor's On further motion of x. ~. Lushong•, seconded by
Salary T. L. James, and by ma~arity vote, the i~ayor~s salary
was fixed at X125.00 per month.

B~r.Eskridge was recalled and notified of his elec-
tion and announced his acceptance. He then tendered his
resignation as councilman from the Second V~+ard, Tmhich was
accepted by the Council. Action on filling the vacancy
on the Council was deferred to the subsequent meeting.
There being no further business, the Council adjourned
