The Council of the Town of Pulaski met in monthly

session tonight at 7:30 at the ~aports offia~.
There were present: Mayor h. T. Eskridge, presiding;
Louie n. Bunion, Clerk; ~. Vii. Gatewood, Director of Public
Works; Roby K. Sutherland, attorney, and Councilmen:
J. K. Harrison, 0. P. Jordan, Jr., L. E. Whitesell, J. E.
Bunts, F. b. Se~,gle, T. L. James and G. C. Ha11 and
A. ~. Bushong. absent: None.

REPORT
4, 1944 were read and approved.
The regular bills and payrolls for the month
of January were audited, approved and ordered paid. Said
bills are given at the conclusion of these minutes.
The following building permits, coming within
the ret~uirements of the ordinance, were granted: To
N. C. Carlton for repairs and maintenance to interior of
storeroom (hiss Lelia Ott Estate property) on the south
side of end St. ~ tiV. between Wahington and Jefferson avenues,
to cost X700.00- this to consist of inside work: only,
and no addition. To Virginia Oak Flooring Company,
W. F. White, Owner, for fr~une shed :for raesa~-g a~ punt
on the east side of Peirce Avenue, to cost X100.00. This
to be an enclosed shed 100 feet from any building. To
G. ~. Qu~senberry for frame smoke house on the west side
of reirce avenue between 3rd and 4th Streets, S. E. to
cost X50.00; To J. C. Burton for frame coal house on
the west side of Riverview Drive, Altoona heights, to
cost X10.00.
~. C. Pierce submitted the police report for the
month of January, which was ordered filed.
On motion of F. i~. Seagle, seconded by L. E.

Fifth jt.N. and on motion of J. K. Harrison, seconded by G. C. Hall,
and unanimously passed, the Council authorized the installa-
tion of a stop sign on the Northwest corner of Washing-
ton Avenue and Fifth Street,
On motion of F. A. Seagle, seconded by J. K. Harrison,

O~K~~`OOD and unanimously passed, the Council authorized the purchase

of approximately 75 rose bushes to complete the rose garden
in Oakwood Cemetery.
SHRUBBERY The Director of Public y~orks was directed to
have the shrubbery in Oakwood Cemetery trirnrned.

one-way thoroughfares, and to take such measurers as
may be necessary to enforce this traffic regulation.
