At the regular municipal election held for the
Town of Pulaski, Virginia, on June 14th, 1938, the follo
officers and councilmen were elected for a period of two
years, effective September 1, 1938:

the clerk of the circuit court of Pulaski County, Virginia
in accordance with the law, qualified the treasurer, the
clerk and the following councilmen -elect: T. J. Wallner, „f

and G. C. Hall, being the members present, by administerin
to each the required oath of office prior to the entrance
upon the duties of their respective positions.!

7:00 o'clock P. M., at the Mayor's office in organization
session, and for the consideration of any business which
might be deemed pertinent to the welfare of the Town.

TOWN LEVY The town levy was fixed for 1938, on motion duly
made, seconded and passed by a recorded vote--: Ayes:
A. T. Eskridge, T. J. Wallner, L. E. Whitesell,, F. A. Seag�e,
T. L. James, and G. C. Hall. Noes--- None. The levy is as-,
follows:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Pulaski;,
Virginia, that a tax of X1.60 be levied on each X100.00
assessed value on all property, reLl and tangible personal,
for the year 1938, for the general purposes of the Town,
including the pay of its officers, the working and keeping
in repair of its streets, roads and bridges, and to pay the`
interest on its•public debt, and to provide a sinking fund
for the redemption of the same, and in addition thereto a
poll tax of X1.00 is hereby levied on each male citizen of
the Town over 21 years of age to be used in keeping its
streets, roads and bridges in repair.
TREASURER'S On motion duly made, seconded and unanimously
BOND'
passed, the treasurerts bond was authorized fixed at V10,001.00.
The bond was placed in the custody of A. T. Eskridge, Chair*n
of the Finance Committee.
AUDITOR On motion duly made, seconded and unanimously
EMPLOYED
passed, J. P. Miller, CPA, was employed to audit the treasu4erts
books for the past fiscal year.
ADJOURN- No further business appearing, the Council adjoinped
