PRESENT There were present: Mayor E. tiY. Calfee, presiding, Lottie R. Runion, Clerk, A. W. Gatecvood, Director of Public Works and Councilmen: A. T. Eskridge, T. J. 4h~allner, L. E. VYhttesell, J. E. Bunts, T. L. James and A. M. Bushong. Absent: F. A. Seagle and G. C. Hall. MINUTES The minutes of the regular meeting held on January 2nd, 1940 were read and approved. BILLS & A detailed statement of the regular bills and payrol],. PAYROLLS for the month of January, 1940 was audited, approved and on ~,,.~ motion duly made, seconded and unanimously passed, ordered ~-~ ~ paid. Said bills are given at the conclusion of these d minutes. BUILDING The following building permits, coming within the PERMITS requirements of the ordinance were granted: To B. P. Douthat for a 12-story frame and asbestos siding dwelling on the south side of 3rd Street., South East, between Lexington and Washington Avenues, to cast $3,000.00; to Baptist Church for concrete basement under church on the west side of Randolph Avenue between 3rd and ~h Streets, North, to cost ~~2,800.00; A. T. Eskridge for a one-story frame dwelling on the west side of Henry Avenue, between 6th and 7th Streets, North West, to cost ~2,n50.00; A. T. Eskridge for a one-story: frame dwelling on the west side of Henry Ave., between 6th and 7thStreets, North ~~iest, to cost X2,750.00. COk1utITTEE Fred N. Cole and K. V. Brugh, representing the PULASKI HORSE Pulaski Horse Show Association, appeared before theCouncil SHOaY ASSN. re=questing the Town to buy nine vacant lots adjacent to the Calfee Athletic Field for parking purposes.
