PRESENT There were present: idayor E. ur'. Calfee, presiding, Lottie R. Runion, clerk; A. ~~. Gate~vood, Director of Public Works, and Counilmen: A. T. Eskridge, T. J. Wallner, L. E.- Whitesell, F. A. Seagle, T. L. games and G. C. Hall. Absent: A. :~. Bushong and J. E. Bunts. ~SINUTES The minutes of the regular meeting held on Nove~ber' 8} 1940 were read and approved. ~~- ~`=' ~-~. A detailed statement of the regular bills and a ro.~ls p y ~ for the month of November was audited a ~~ , pproved and on motion duly made, seconded and unanimously passed, ordered paid. Sand bills are given at the conclusion of these minutes. The following building. permits, coming within the BUILDING requirements of the ordinance, were grantedt To C. E . to cost X25, 00. ~~ (cont ~d) 2 X12 Council Minutes Pulaski, Va., Dec. 3, 1940 EXTEiJSION Robley D. moody executive-vice-president of the WATER peoples National Bank appeared before the Council requesting LINE ~ACGILL further extension of ~ water line in the ~[acgill Addition, dust ADD. outside the corporate limits. The Council agreed to make the PEOPLEu extension, with the provision that the entire cost was to be Nat'l Bank paid by the property owners. The line is 1500 feet at an estimated cost of X1400.00. SANITARY C. N. Tester, representing hi~self and other property owners SEV'JER EX. 5th St. appeared before the Council requesting extension of the sanitary S.E. sewer line on 5th St. S. E. at an ~;stimated cost of X1052.75 y C.N. TESTER the property onwer to pay i/2 @ cast On motion duly made, seconded ~}nd unanismou~y passed this matter was referred to the sewer cora~nittee for thorough investigation and pourer 3~o act. On motion duly made, seconded and unanimously passed, the following resc~-utim #®s adopted: RESO- The Chairman of the Finance Com~ittee is directed to LUTION inmost in stock in the Pulaski ~iztua.I. Building ~ Loan Assn., OAKWOOD CEMETERY the smm of X1500.00 , being the amount of accrued receipts MAINTENANCE FUND from Oakwood Cemetery for the year beginning September 1, 1939 to Augugust 31, 1940, said stock to be issued in the name of "Town of Pulaski Oakwood Cemetery Perpetual daintenance Fund". Be if Further resolved that the sum of $50.00, being funds left to the town of Pulaski by the Estate of ~. H. Shuff for maintenance of lot in Oakwood Cemetery be likewise invested in said stock in the na~ze of"Town of Pulaski , Trustee J. H. Shuff Estate Fund."
