Council minutes. Pulaski, Va., April 8, 1941
The Council of the Town of Pulaski, met in monthly
session at 7:30 Y. M., at the mayors office.
PRESEISIT There were present: Mayor E.W. Calfee, presiding,
Lottie R. Runion, clerk, and Councilmen: T, J. Wallner,
L. E. Whitesell, F. A. Seigle, T. L. James and G. C. Hall. ~'
Absent: A. m. Bushong, J. E. Bunts and ~iA. T. Eskridge.
MINUTES The minutes of th(~ regular meeting held on March
4th were read and approved.
BILLS & A detailed statement of the regular bills and
PAYROLLS payrolls for the month of March were audited, approved
~` and ordered paid. Said bills are given at the conclusion

'~ BUILDING The following building permits, coming within
PERMITS the requirements of the ordinance, were granted; To Lee ~.
Boothe, for 2-story brick and cinder block apartment house
(4 apartments} on the east side of Randolph Avenue, at the
corner of 7th Street, N. Yd., to cost X9,600.00; W. J. Duncan
for 2-story frame dwelling on the north side of 5th St.,
Ave.
N. E., between ~lalnut/and Newbern Road, to cost X4,000.00;
dirs. Marie Dalton for one-story frame dwelling on the southE
side of Pico Terrace, between Franklin Ave. and 3rd St. ~1. ~.,
to cost X2,500.00; Julian Vaughan, for a one-story frame
dwelling on the east side of Bertha Street, to cost ~1800.OtD;

On motion duly made, seda~ded and unanimously
passed, the Council authorized the purchase of two new
trucks for the Street Department.
On motion duly made, seconded and unanimously
passed, the Council authorised the laying of concrete
3rd St. N.Epavement 22 feet wide, on 3rd Street, N. E., between
Between. Franklin Avenue and Walnut Avenue, with concrete curb,
