HomeMy WebLinkAbout2009-02Ordinance 2009-02 e Ordinance Amending the Parking Requirement for Multi-Family Units in the B-3 Central Business District • ADOPTED: January 6, 2009 EFFECTIVE: January 6, 2009 • ORDINANCE 2009-02 ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PARKING REQUIREMENT FOR MULTI-FAMILY UNITS IN THE B-3 CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia has considered it to be in the best interest of the public and determined that it is consistent with the general welfare of the citizens to amend the zoning regulations to amend the parking requirements for multi-family dwellings in the B-3 Central Business District; and, WHEREAS, the Town Council has considered the best interests of the community and its citizens and bases the following amendment to the Zoning Regulations and Zoning Ordinance upon the public necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practices; NOW, THEREFORE be it ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, sitting in regular session this 6t" day of January 2009, that §503.3-3 b. of the Zoning Regulations is hereby amended to read as follows: "Two and a half (2 '/2) spaces per dwelling unit except for efficiency apartments for which two spaces per dwelling unit shall be provided. B-3 District parking requirements for multi-family units are one (1) space per single bedroom unit and one and a half (1 '/2) spaces for multi-bedroom units." This ordinance is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 6t" day of January 2009 by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as follows: David L.
