Approximately 75 area citizens
The invocation was given by Councilman Boyd.
Councilman Crawford welcomed citizens and introduced persons on the podium.
He advised this was the first of two public hearings the governing bodies
would hold on the proposed Principles of Agreement, and requested citizens'
input. The governing bodies want to serve the public better at less cost.
Councilman Crawford advised this agreement was not written in concrete, it
can be changed, and requested citizens to help them to produce a better agree-
ment than the proposed agreement. The proposed agreement came about because
the two governments felt if they combined their efforts and some of their
assets, they could better serve the citizens. He stated one item might help
one government more than the other, therefore, agreement must be looked at
as a whole.
At 10:05 p.m., Councilman Crawford thanked citizens for coming to the
Public Hearing and giving Town Council and the Board of Supervisors their
concerns.
