There were present: Vice-Mayor Andrew L. Graham, presiding. Councilmembers: John A. Johnston, Pauline G. Mitchell, Glen K. Aust, Ira S. Crawford Also present: Town Manager H. R. Coake Clerk - Gladys R. Dalton Finance Director/Treasurer - Roger A. Williams Visitors: Dee Lindsey of the Southwest Times The invocation was given by Councilman Aust. WAIVER OF NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING ' We, the undersigned, duly elected members of the Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, hereby waive notice of a Special Meeting of said Council at Twelve o'clock Noon , on the 20th day of August 19 82, for the purpose of considering and taking action on the annual tax report of the Finance Director Roger A. Williams and any other busirness that may legally come before the Council. WITNESS our signatures this 20th day of August 19 82 . August 20, 1982 Finance Chairman Graham advised that copies of Roger A. ' Williams, Director ofFinance/Treasurer's Annual report on delinquent taxes, improper and erroneous assessments for the year 1981, 1980 and 1979 have been received, and there were certain resolutions concerning these taxes that Council must consider and take action thereon. Thereupon, Roger A. Aust -Aye BE IT RESOLVED that the above set out Town Treasurer's report for delinquent taxes for the year 1981, as certified to the Council, be accepted; that the Treasurer be credited with the amount shown to be delinquent and that said list of delinquent real estate tax be filed with the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Pulaski County Virginia to be recorded and indexed by him; that a list containing all unpaid real estate taxes as of June 30, 1982, be published in a local news- paper on August 27, 1982; that a list of unpaid personal property and any and all other taxes be prepared; that such list be posted at the Courthouse and other public places all said proceedings to be in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Virginia, 1950 Edition, Title 58, Chapter 20, Article 7, and Chapter 21, Article 7, and all applicable amendments to the said code. The Treasurer is further directed to continue to collect the unpaid taxes on said lists.
