Town Manager Coake advised a letter from HUD Indic ated that the
Cool Spring Water Distribution System was not funded. The letter
also stated there were six non-metropolitan single purpose
grants awarded and the Town's project was next in line to be funded.

Town Manager Coake stated meetings have been held with Town
Attorney Moore relative to amendments to the Business and Professional
License and it was hoped to have recommendations prepared for Council
soon.
At 9:15 P. M. Councilmember Boyd moved that Council go into
Executive Session on a Legal and Personnel matter. Motion was
seconded by Councilmember Mitchell, and carried.
At 9:50 P. M. Council returned to Regular Session, and Mayor
Ratcliff inquired if there was further business to come before the
Council. There being none, at 9:50 P. M. Councilman Aust moved that
Council adjourn. Motion was seconded by Councilmember Holston, and
ADJOURNMENT carried.

held March 20, 1981 at 5:30 P. M, in the Council Chambers in the
Municipal Building.
There were present: Mayor Raymond F. Ratcliff, presiding.
Councilmembers: John A. Johnston, Robert M. Wallace,
C. E. Boyd, Jr., James M. Neblett, Jr.,
Andrew L. Graham, Jr., Glen K. Aust
Absent: Councilmembers Holston and Mitchell

WAIVER OF NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
We, the undersigned, duly elected members of the Council of the
Town of Pulaski, Virginia, hereby waive notice of a Special Meeting of said
Council at 5:30 P. M, on the 20th day of March, 1981, for the purpose of
formally appointing a committee consisting of two, with an alternate, to
work with a similar committee of the Town of Dublin and County of Pulaski,
to determine the feasibility of a study for Consolidation of the govern-
mental bodies into one governmental unit, and any other business that ma.y
legally come before the Council.

During the discussion of the motion, Councilman A. L. Graham
said that it was his understanding the primary function of the committee
appointed by the three political subdivisions would be concerned with

Councilmember Wallace moved that Council ask the Board of Supervisors
for a friendly annexation of the new strip on East Main Street to include
WALLACE the general area from the East Corporate Limits to the Railroad Bridge,
SUGGESTS due to the amount of revenue the Town has lost by reason of businesses moving
FRIENDLY out, and by picking this back up we could recoup this and possibly benefit
ANNEXATION the town citizens.
