Minutes of the regular meeting of the Pulaski Town Council,
held June 6, 1972, at 4:00 o'clock P. M., in the Council Chambers of
the Municipal Building.
There were present: Mayor C. Robert Edens, presiding.
Councilmen: Andrew L. Graham, S. G. Frye, J. L. Congrove,
Glen K. Aust, William A. House, Mason A.
Vaughan
Absent: Raymond F. Ratcliff and J. H. White

The invocation was given by Councilman Congrove.
The minutes of the regular meeting of May 16th were approved
as recorded.
Mrs. Duncan stated she would like to express appreciation for
the patience shown her by the May, members of Council, and Town Manager

ciation also to Mr. Holyfield, Public Works personnel, Department heads
and Chief of Police Burroughs and members of the Police Force.
Mr. McMillan brought up the matter of their request to the
Town to accept Mdeallion Drive in the Town's secondary street system,

DETAILS OF street specifications. Mr. McMillan advised that he had measured and

DRIVE found the street to have a four inch base. However, the Town contends
that it does not exist. Mr. McMillan was interested in bringing this
matter to a final conclusion inasmuch as Mr. Ray Wilson is building
apartments on the south side of the Drive and needs to have water
connections but the line is on the north east side of the Drive. The
matter was discussed at length and upon the suggestion of Councilman
House, Councilman Vaughan moved that the matter be turned over to the
Town Manager, Mr. House, Mr. McMillan and Town Attorney to get to-
gether and try to arrive at some solution, and that the matter be left on
Council's agenda until it is brought to a conclusion. The motion was
seconded by Councilman Aust, and carried.
Town Attorney Moore reported a deed had been secured that day

The Town Council considered a recommendation from the Town
Planning Commission that they give serious consideration to joining with
another political subdivision within the Planning bistrict ~p4 area, giving
first consideration to the County of Pulaski, for the adoption of a Pulaski

community. Councilman Frye stated that in view of the recommendation of the
Town Planning Commission, moved that the recommendation of the Commission be
adopted as the policy of the Council, which motion was seconded by Council-
man Congrove, and carried.
With regards to the recently adopted regulations and rates for
CAMPERS camping in the Gatewood Recreation area, Councilman Aust moved that the area

dealing with establishing perpetual care in the Town owned cemeteries, and was
considered by Council. Councilman Vaughan moved that the Trust Agreement

moved that a note be added to the bottom of the form to the effect
that the minimum sum to be accepted for perpetual care be established
by the Trustees. The motion was seconded by Councilman Vaughan, and
carried.
At 5:50 P M. Councilman Vaughan moved that Council go into
EXECUTIVE Executive Session to discuss a personnel ma tter. The motion was

At 6:40 P. M. Councilman Graham moved, seconded by Councilman
Congrove, that Council return to regular session. The motion carried.
There being no further business on motion of Councilman Vaughan,

6:41 P. M.
