Minutes of a special meeting of the Pulaski Town Council,
held on the 20th day of February, 1963, at 7:30 P. M., in the
Municipal Office.
There were present: Mayor C. V. Jackson, presiding.
Councilmen: W. S. Cummings, W. A. Larson, T. J.
McCarthy, Claude B. @allimore, F. L.

The invocation was given by Councilman Gallimore.
Mayor Jackson explained that the called meeting had been
necessary due to the fact that illness of various members made it
SPECIAL MEETING impossible to secure a quorum to conduct the regular meeting of
Council which had been scheduled for February 19th.
On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman
Gallimore, and carried on the unanimous vote of those present,
the following resolution was adopted:
WHEREAS, the Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia, meeting in special session on this the 20th
day of February, 1963, desires to go on record not only
in expressing its appreciation to the Appalachian Power
Company for locating "Project Decision" in Pulaski
County, and to all of the people who had a part in
contributing. their time and resources to the end that
said pro3ect is now assured; but
WHEREAS, the Council desires to obligate the Town
RESOLUTION RE: of Pulaski to support "Pro3ect Decision" and such
PROJECT DECISION industry as may occupy the proposed industrial site
& SETTING FORTH located adjacent to the east corporate limits of the
SERVICES TO LOCATING Town by making available the hereinafter designated ser-
INDUSTRY vices.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of
the Town of Pulaski, that the Town of Pulaski will:
1. Install, construct, and lay to the property
line upon which "Pro3ect Decision" will locate, a water
and sewer line of a minimum size of 8" and will make
available water and sewer services in keeping with
established rates and Town policy, and under the laws
and ordinances governing the supplying of water and
sewer services beyond the corporate limits of the Town
of Pulaski, Virginia.

2. Through the Municipal Fire Department ',
serve any physical plant erected in connection with
"Project Decision" and will further grant unto such
persons or corporations that occupy the premises the
privilege to connect, at its expense, with the Town
Automatic Fire Alarm System.
3. Offer police protection in cooperation
with County and State Officers, insofar as its ordinances '`
PROJECT DECISION or the general laws of the State of Virginia permit
RESOLUTION the extension of its jurisdiction in criminal matters.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all of the above "
shall be carried out promptly upon proper request being
made and that said service shall be granted sub3ect to
the provision of the ordinances of the Town and the laws ',
of the Commowealth of Virginia, and in keeping with the Town'sj
policy now in force or as may hereafter be established.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this
resolution be mailed to such persons as the Town Manager
or the Mayor shall direct.
At 7:50 P. M. the formal session of Council ad~ournec~,
