Minutes of a called meeting of the Pulaski Town Council,
held on the 2nd day of May, 1963, at x:00 P. M., in the Municipal
office.
There were present: Mayor C. V, Jackson, presiding.
Councilmen: W. A. Larson, ?~1, S. Cummings, Glen K. Aust,
T. J. McCarthy, Billy B, Flint, Eugene L. N tickols,
Claude B. Gallimore
Absent: F. L. Carrico
Also present: Town Manager: T. B, Noland
Clerk: Gladys R. Dalton
Town Attorney: GArnett S, Moore
Visitors: Alton I, Crowell, Attorney for Claremont Corporation
Midge Woodard, reporter for Southwest Times
The invocation was given by Councilman Aust.
Mayor Jackson stated the special meeting had been called
to discuss matters needing attention, possibly the Dublin water
line project, and any other matters which Council might wish to
discuss.
A letter, copies of which had been given members of Council,
from the Claremont Corporation was read, which 1 etter contained the;
proposal of the Corporation relative to necessary right of way for the
relocation of Route 611 (Newbern Road) and the extension of Monte
Vista Drive to intersect therewith. Paragraph numbered three (3)
of this letter eras discussed in detail, and Councilman Flint
moved that the Corporation's offer be accepted and that a resolution

EXTENDED new Route 611 and the limitations placed on the refund as shown in

the minutes of the meeting of April 16th, and with further limitation
that the amount returned shall not exceed the cost of the project it
construction by the Town or by Claremont Corporation, which ever isf
the lowest figure, This motion was seconded by Councilman Larson, end
carried. Mr. Nuckols, a law partner of the attorney for Claremont ''.
Corporation, abstained from voting.

Council had no objection to a group of VPI students
who are interested in "skydiving" using Loving Field on weekends,

The matter of extending a water line to Dublin

The request of the manager of the Pulaski Theatre,
Mr. Wendall Jones, that the theatre be placed on the same basis
